This fine sailing yacht, with 64 feet of traditional grace and beauty, was launched in June 1934 from the Nevins Shipyard in City Island, New York. That same year, Orion won the coveted Bermuda Race. Upon winning the Fire Island Race and numerous New York Yacht Club races, Orion established a distinguished history of winning ocean races.

Recognized as "one of the world's best ocean boats", in the recent book of S & S designs, Orion is considered by many to be the definitive classic sailboat and one of the finest sailing yachts in the world.

Orion is U. S. Coast Guard inspected and certified to carry up to 20 passengers, plus crew. Though San Diego is her home port, Orion is available for charters departing from multiple harbors along the southern California coast.
